At Mendelsohn Math Tutoring, we empower high school students to lead free, peer-to-peer math tutoring clubs that support middle schoolers in their communities. By starting a club at your school, you’ll recruit volunteers, partner with a local middle school, and run weekly tutoring sessions—all with our full support. Each club moves us closer to our mission of increasing educational equity and expanding opportunity for all students—one equation at a time!
We recognize that every student learns differently and deserves access to support that fits their needs. Our mission is to provide free, peer-led tutoring in school-based programs. Through these partnerships, we aim to strengthen academic skills, build confidence, and create mentorship opportunities that empower both learners and leaders.
Every student deserves to feel seen, supported, and capable. By connecting high schoolers with middle schoolers, we create spaces where younger students gain confidence and guidance, while older students grow as mentors and leaders. It’s not just about better grades—it’s about building a stronger, more connected school community.
Adam Mendelsohn is the proud founder of Mendelsohn Math Tutoring. This organization is the result of combining his passion for both mathematics and helping others. He values equal opportunity within education, believing education is the key to success.
After noticing the lack of affordable tutoring options in his community, Adam started a small tutoring club at his high school to support struggling middle schoolers. What began as a few volunteers helping out after school quickly grew into a structured 501(c)(3) that empowered high school students to become mentors and leaders. Today, the program continues to expand, partnering with local schools to run student-led clubs where high schoolers tutor middle schoolers—making academic support more accessible, personal, and impactful.
